Web-Wise Wilmington
A three-pronged approach — the newly created Downtown Merchants Association, a myriad of upcoming outdoor eventsand a new state-of-the art Web site and presence on MySpace.com — may be the shot in the arm local business owners need as they are hoping to generate interest in the one-of-a-kind-shops offered in the town slightly more than 20 miles south of Joliet.
Before hitting the road, shoppers may want to take to the information highway to make the most of their day. The Web site address is www.route66wilmington.com . There is also information available at www.myspace.com/route66wilmington .
Web site designer Amanda Laws, owner of a Web designing business called Abstractionz, created the new Web page. Her mother, Sharon Faber, owns and operates Treasure Cove, an antique and collectible store. Laws also designs and maintains the city of Wilmington Web site at www.wilmington-il.com . ....more
